ARCHITECTURE HISTORY AND THEORIES

The main goal of this module, which was overseen by Dr. Filzani Illia Ibrahim and taught by Mr. Nik Syazwan, Mr. Azim Sulaiman, and Mr. Nicholas Ng, was to inform students about the development and history of architecture throughout time. This curriculum also challenged students to develop and polish their analytical skills.

Group Analysis Report

Through the comparative research of Age Of Enlightenment architecture, this project inspired us to analyse in greater depth. My group has chosen the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Saline D'Arc et Senans as our designated locations.

After comparing contemporary architecture, my group decided to take a closer look at these two iconic buildings. We have done a lot of research and collected a lot of relevant information, considering the page limit, we are concise in description and analysis, but also detailed enough. I think this is a satisfactory result, and I wish this report analysis had better elaboration on the two buildings.

Sketching Analysis

Architectural History and Theory is an enjoyable course, especially this assignment, it allows me to enhance my drawing skills while knowing more about these buildings. TIMES web page is also fully functional, which greatly simplifies aspects of independent study. I also thank my tutors who provided helpful and constructive comments on our studies and assignments, constantly helping us to improve and strengthen.
