In the course of study, "experiencing space and place" in architecture is emphasised. The concept of neighbourhood and community, as well as the research of spatial typologies and poetics in architecture, are introduced to the students to incorporate academics into their design work. 

The development of several spatial typologies (such as linear, spiral, spine, centric, etc.) for a basic dwelling space that investigates the concept of architectural experiences. Consequently, the major project entails creating an open-air, modest community building in 

a suburban or rural setting that reflects the unique sense of place that is present on the site 

events in history, topography, and society and culture.
