PROJECT 1
CONTEXTUAL STUDY SKETCH JOURNAL OF A TRADITIONAL STREET
In this project, we are required to produced a series of sketch journal about a street from the coverage of the given area. To produced it, we have to identify the place identity that were influenced by sociocultural, economic, and political variables throughout the course of a specific time period which appeared in physical and non-physical forms. We need to define it by observing the tangible qualities of architecture and space, and the intangible socio-cultural attributes.

SUMMARY
REFLECTION
I have a complete comprehension of Lorong Panggung in this project, as well as a basic understanding of the origins and history of chinatown. The murals at Lorong Panggung speak extensively about the culture and way of life in the 1960s. The most significant thing is that it inspired me to read more about the humanities and the tales behind the building. It gave me a fresh perspective to look at things differently, to understand more about the past.
PROJECT 2
POSTER AND SEMINAR-CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN ASIAN ARCHITECTURE
This project is research-based, and it needs a series of critical analysis of the key problems that we saw during our site visit. Through weekly facilitated group discussions overseen by tutors, an evaluative framework is established within the designated scope using the problem-based learning approach. The results of the learning process are given as a proposal of viable solutions in the form of a research poster and seminar presentation. Through a problem-solving method and supervised group discussions, critical thinking and interpretations on the important challenges of globalisation in the Asian architecture scene are cultivated.
REFLECTION
Through this project, we learned about the cultural history of the place and enjoyed discovering stories that have been hidden by time. We are able to explain how vernacular architecture in Asia has evolved historically and how it has adapted to local environments. Besides, we are also able to use the concepts of tradition, modernity, and globalisation to interpret major challenges in relation to the development of contemporary Asian architecture. Our assignment work is very smooth, everyone has their own scope of work, communication and get along very well. I'm happy to meet teammates who are understanding.
