DESIGN COMMUNICATION

The goal of the Design Communication module, coordinated by Dr. Filzani Illia, taught by Ar. Zahari Bin Zubir and Mr Mohd Adib Ramli, was to teach students to the rules and conventions of drawing and model-making in order to hone their visual communication abilities.

PROJECT 1

Movie Poster

The first task for this session required us to create a movie poster in order to evaluate our compositional, artistic, and typographic abilities. As a result, we had to include both natural and artificial components in our poster, as well as a suitable presentation of our movie with a title and subtitles that included the director.

Overall, I thought that this first work was an excellent opportunity to develop my painting and sketching skills. In my poster, watercolour and markers was also used throughout to complete the picture. Watercolour was applied for the overall tone which markers were demonstrated to me how wonderful it is as a colouring medium because it can be use to touch up the details.

PROJECT 3

Presentation Boards & Models

For this assignment, we were required to create a presentation board with augmented reality (Blippar) and display our model. Since I took both AD1 and Design communication, I was able to reuse the presentation boards and the model the was created for AD1's final assignment.

A floor plan, a section, two elevation drawings, an exploded axonometric drawing (separated into two A2 papers) , two abstract architectural drawings, 4 tattoo stamps and construction detail drawings of my model made up the presentation boards.

Listed below are images of my model. Scroll down to see a PPT that showed my development, the test code, and a Blippar marker.
